At this stage a film industry formatted screenplay is appreciated but not required. Maris Entertainment is more interested in your creativity and ideas than your knowledge of film industry formats. The minimum submission is a one or two story or game synopsis. Maris Entertainment can judge the marketability from a synopsis. If you wish we will put you in touch with professionals that can take your concept to the next level — a reading script which is focused on story, dialog and characters. Once we've arrived at the point that we're interested in producing your project a formal contract will be negotiated with you.
Electronic submissions are preferred but we can make arrangements with you to submit a hard copy. Award winning television and film scriptwriters with more then 10 years experience in the business help us with the reviewing process. A $25 reading fee is requested to help us offset those costs. The fee may be paid electronically through secure Google Checkout. We will not store or have access to your financial information.
We recommend that all submissions be registered with the Writers Guild of America. Registry is open to non-members for a $20 fee. Links to the WGA site follow:
